Religion of Peace (???)

First off, hat tip to Metropolis Times for the citation

In a surprise move, I am going to point out an article on CNN :-o Why? Well, there’s some quotes there that should make anyone question Islam being equated with the words “religion of peace.” Ever since 9/11/2001 I have questioned this. Now I really quesstion it. Top clerics in Kabul are calling for Abdul Rahman’s execution, murder/decapitation (if freed), or confinement to Afghanistan (so as to prevent an exodus of citizens professing Christianity).

As a side note: when the media translates from Muslims, could they PLEASE translate Allah as Allah instead of God? I realize that Allah is the divine one of Muslims, but just because Allah is their divine one and God is the (sometimes) culturally accepted Divinity here in America, does not mean that we have to mix religions and convey the idea that “we’re all the same; just different is some practices.”

Thanks for the link. :)

Allah is Arabic for ‘God.’ They believe that they worship the same deity as the Jews and Christians. Most modern scholarly translations correctly translate “Allah” as “God.” It makes more sense to do that then it does to translate every word in Arabic into English with the exception of “Allah.”
