Come, children, on and forward!
Each hour nearer home!
The pilgrim days speed onward,
And soon the last will come.
All hail! O golden city!
How near the shining towers!
Fair gleams our Father’s palace:
That radiant home is ours.
The words are encouraging for a day such as this. You might keep Bro. Linscott and his family in your prayers, as this time is a difficult one for them too.
When we remember all that the Lord has done for us, it draws praise for the past and confidence for the future. (From a funeral preached by my Grandfather, 41 years ago this Tuesday)
