Friday, September 16, there will be a memorial service in Arvada, CO.
This past June, I ever so briefly met the Seidler family (Heidi-26, Jessica-23, Joel-19, Charity-17 at the time, and their mother Kathy) at a singles conference in Powell, WY. The concluding activity was a trip to Yellowstone National Park. What a great time it was to see God’s power in the thermal features, the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, and the wildlife.
The Seidlers departed from the group at Old Faithful to head back to Cody. Tuesday, they began their trek back home to Littleton, CO. About 65 miles west of Casper, WY, they were struck head on by a pick-up truck.
The red arrow shows the approximate location on US 20-26 (between Casper–near the lower right corner–and Shoshoni) where the wreck occurred on the evening of June 14, 2005
The collision killed Kathy Seidler, and Joel. It was two days later that I learned their father, Tom, passed away last September 16th, shortly after being diagnosed with stomach cancer. How precious it is to know that these three have been reunited with each other in a far better place and are now in the presence of their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Below, I have provided some links, in addition to the Seidler Family website, where you can learn about this Godly, Christian family.

The Rocky Mountain News gave something of a biographical sketch of the Seidlers in this article.
In this article, the Casper Star-Tribune interviewed the man who was first on the scene.
I encourage you to check out the website, register and leave a note of encouragement to the family. Updates are typically posted on Tuesdays. I’ll highlight the updates on Sharper Iron’s prayer request forum
