Sometimes they get it right!

Continuing to follow the trial of Abdul Rahman:

  • Kudos to for getting the story prominently placed on the website!
  • Where are the “Big Three?” I’ve yet to see this make the network (non-cable/satellite) news
  • Cheers for President Bush, supporting Mr. Rahman’s right to worship freely. Don’t be afraid to apply some more heat if needed.
  • Jeers for the State Department supporting Afghganistan’s right to try. Not quite on par with the mixed message of the judege, but pretty close.
  • Two thumbs up for Rep. Tom Lantos’ (D-CA) letter to President Karzai:

In a country where soldiers from all faiths, including Christianity, are dying in defense of your government, I find it outrageous that Mr. Rahman is being prosecuted and facing the death penalty for converting to Christianity, which he did 16 years ago before your government even existed.

Keep standing tall on this issue, Rep. Lantos

  • Way to go Banty Rooster, for commending honorable progress and encouraging continued attention!

Check the sidebar for potential links of interest. I have an RSS feed for my Technorati* watchlist and also the Google News RSS feed regarding Abdul Rahman. You can also find contact information for the Afghanistan Embassy, the State Department, and a webpage where you can locate your national legislators. Don’t forget to sign AFA’s petiton to President Bush.
