Tonight’s Local and Regional Highlights

  • If you're looking to save a bit on your groceries, you might consider a move to Wyoming. Starting July 1st, those of us in the great state of Wyoming will be getting a two year vacation from sales tax on groceries. Of course there are some exceptions to the rule (e.g. if a utensil is included–indicating intent of immediate consumption–you're paying tax) and like the grocers, I think the tax break should be made permanent.
  • Park County, WY residents: Wondering who all is running for the assorted offices "up for grabs" and how to contact them to see where they stand on the issues? The Park County website has posted a listing of all candidates (including precinct committee men and women!) and their contact info. Time to start drafting letters!
  • Well, the Billings Bulls are staying in Billings and the Cody Stampede are disbanding. But have no fear, Cody is getting a junior hockey team! Though as of this posting it hasn't happened yet, I'm sure Ruffin Prevost over at Basin Beat Blues will have a word or two about this (which would be good since the Cody Enterprise articles aren't archived) HT:

  1. In case you haven’t already seen it, the “Triple B blog” has a posting on the Cody _________ hockey team And if you’re feeling really industrious, check out the article from the big city paper
