Breathing Easier

Since Sunday,  our out-of-town visitors have parted from their stay in Cody. I’m not talking about the motorcyclists, I’m talking about the reinforcements from around the area. Yes, our over-bearing out-of-town officers have left town and now drivers are actually feeling brave enough to go run errands and even travel speed limit in the process 😮

In fact, I did a celebratory 33 in a 30 when I realized law enforcement was back to just our local officers. It feels good to drive and not have to wonder if I am exactly in the center of the lane, for fear that I may be slightly to the left or right of center and be cited by a Gillette, WY officer.

Disclaimer: I do appreciate the good job that the men and women of law enforcement do day in and day out and for special high-security activities. They keep our communities safe, and they along with their families sacrifice in doing so. I would have much rather had the extra law enforcement in town last week, just a little more reasoned.

  1. We have a Yellowstone Park ranger in our church that said it was not too bad in the park. Glad to hear it is all over.

We are going to try to make it to the WY Wind Festival. I hear it is from Jan. 1st through Dec. 31st 🙂

  2. Glad to hear that YNP didn’t have all the trials of the week.

The WY Wind Festival is always a fun time. 2008 is going to be the big year for that as there will be a special Feb. 29 celebration of the festival.
