WYDOT, Gov’s “Folks,” Know Not Why

I’ve received two follow-up e-mails regarding the Governor’s campaign signs in the Cody WYDOT lawn:

  • “We were not aware of their presence, and as you mention in your blog, we agree that it would not be appropriate for a state agency to be displaying yard signs for the governor. ” (Anders Chen, Folks for Freudenthal)
  • “I am responding to your email about the campaign signs in the yard at
the Cody WYDOT office on Sunday. They were removed Monday morning, and
were probably planted at the office over the weekend.
Our personnel have no knowledge of the signs, other than that they were
removed.” (Cody Beers, WYDOT Dist. 5)

So, there you have it. No one knows why. As I reported in my post on Sunday, around the time that the post was up, the signs were down. Still a questionable event….

  1. Wow, looks like you guys have some great action in Cody. Here, they take all the signs from a subdivision and stick them on school lawns- thousands of them.
