Sen. Barrasso Grows No Moss

Wyoming’s and the United State’s newly appointed junior Senator, Dr. John Barrasso, a Casper Republican, has completed his first week filling 1/3 of Wyoming’s D.C. delegation. Since being sworn in last Monday afternoon, he has voted on big issues, visited constituents passing through the Capital, met his fellow Senators, including ranking MA liberal Ted Kennedy and the now-former #100 of the U.S. Senate, Jon Tester (D-MT).

Sen. Barrasso has pledged to live in Wyoming and work in Washington, D.C., following the tradition of the late Sen. Craig Thomas who returned home every weekend and recess. By Sept 1st, the Senator plans to have had a town meeting in each Wyoming county.

I hope he schedules the Park County meeting on a day I can attend. He’d be a good man to meet.

  1. Sen. Barrasso is pretty much amazing. As I was flying out of Casper on Friday, I saw him and his family get off a plane from Denver. Looks like he isn’t wasting any time keeping his promise to come back to Wyoming every weekend if possible!

  2. I have heard that the Cody Stampede Parade Committee is trying to get Sen. Barrasso up here for the Stampede Parades, of which Sen. and Mrs. Thomas were annual participants in.
