¿el oh, opinión puede usted ver?

This is sad. First, it's protesting in major U.S. cities making illegal immigration, well, illegal, while proudly waving the flag of Mexico. Well, before that it was coming over here and refusing to learn English, the unofficial language of the land.

Now "because they don't feel a part of American society," a reportedly "loose" translation of the Star Spangled Banner has been written in Spanish. My initial rection: come here legally, learn English, go for citizenship and you might feel more like a part of the USA.

I was going to look into the lyrics, but they are not set for release until Sunday.

  1. From the President’s press conference today:

Q Mr. President, a cultural question for you. There is a version of the National Anthem in Spanish now. Do you believe it will hold the same value if sung in Spanish as in English?

THE PRESIDENT: No I don’t, because I think the National Anthem ought to be sung in English. And I think people who want to be a citizen of this country ought to learn English, and they ought to learn to sing the National Anthem in English.
